CEMP & Construction Management

A Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) is frequently mandated by Councils throughout NSW. It details specific actions to prevent, control, and mitigate environmental and human impacts linked to the construction project. The plan outlines procedures for managing, monitoring, reporting, and addressing potential environmental issues throughout the project, ensuring compliance with local Council requirements and industry standards.

Caldera Environmental has extensive experience in creating Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) and Codes of Construction Practice (CoCP) documents for projects across a wide range of projects. It is best practice to engage a suitably qualified consultant to prepare a CEMP framework before an application reaches the planning committee and conditions are applied. This framework outlines the environmental principles, mitigation measures, monitoring, and content—such as the frequency and details of environmental training sessions, and roles and responsibilities—that the principal contractor must consider and implement.
