Asbestos Remediation - Accord Property Pty Ltd - Redbank Plains, Brisbane

Caldera Environmental, on behalf of Accord Property Pty Ltd, conducted a comprehensive asbestos investigation and remediation project at 50-52 Hallets Road, Redbank Plains, QLD 4301. This project included a Detailed Site Investigation (DSI), the development of a Remediation Action Plan (RAP), site remediation works, and site validation. The site, spanning approximately 3,286 m², is set for future development as a childcare centre, featuring a central structure, car parking areas, garden beds, and exposed grass surfaces. Caldera Environmental’s skilled team of CEnvP accredited Environmental Consultants were able to promptly assist the client and ensure the overall environmental compliance obligations of the site were met

Located 26.8 km southwest of Brisbane CBD within the Ipswich City Council jurisdiction, the remediation process involved the removal of bonded asbestos from surface and in situ soils up to 100 mm deep. The primary objective of the Site Validation Report (SVR) is to confirm the land's suitability for future use as a childcare centre by adhering to the stringent Residential A land use guidelines of the National Environment Protection (Assessment of Site Contamination) Amendment Measure 2013 (NEPM 2013).

The remediation works were meticulously carried out to ensure the complete removal of asbestos contamination, thereby providing a safe and healthy environment for the proposed childcare facility. The SVR was prepared using background information obtained during the remediation process, previous assessment reports, and current industry practices in the remediation of similar site.

This project underscores Caldera Environmental's commitment to environmental safety and compliance, ensuring that the site at 50 Hallets Road is ready for its new role as a childcare centre, providing a safe space for children to learn and grow.
