Groundwater Monitoring Well Installation and FSOP Development - Eungai Rail General Store 

Caldera Environmental conducted secondary leak detection for the Underground Petroleum Storage System (UPSS) at Eungai Rail General Store & Liquor Supplies, located at 8-10 Station Street, Eungai Rail, NSW 2441. This project included the installation of groundwater monitoring wells and the development of a Field Sampling and Operating Procedure (FSOP) to satisfy NSW EPA requirements.

Located south of Coffs Harbour and north of Newcastle, the site required careful planning due to access restrictions and proximity to structures and power lines. The FSOP is crucial for sites with UPSS such as USTs, bowsers, and fuel storage as it outlines the procedures for monitoring and detecting leaks and spills. This ensures environmental safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

The groundwater monitoring wells were strategically placed to ensure effective leak detection and environmental monitoring.
